- A: AnswerThe power cords, thunderbolt and pen are compatible, but the keyboard port is different with this generation, so the old keyboard covers will no longer work.

Surface Pro 9 Review
A super-convenient 2in1 tablet/laptop. Very easy to commute with considering the light weight and small size. Fast and effective to produce work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc... The detachable keyboard is one of the many pluses of this device which allows you to switch back and forth from laptop to tablet in no time.

Enjoying my Surface Pro 9
I've had a Surface Pro 4 for about 5 years and have enjoyed it very much. In fact, I haven't used my laptop in years because the Surface Pro has met my needs and is smaller and more convenient to use. When that one finally died I decided to get another. The Surface Pro 8 was a better price and would probably have been just as good for my needs but I decided to spend the extra money and get the latest model so I got the 9. It was easy to set up but I wasn't able to transfer everything from my 4 to the 9 because my 4 won't boot up so I can't speak to that. I've had the 9 for a little over a month so I haven't explored everything it can do yet. It boots up fast and stays connected to my Internet. It connects to my phone via Bluetooth like the 4 did and I really like that feature as I can see and respond to my texts using a keyboard and it's easy to transfer photos. Regarding the price of the 9 though, I got it on sale for $300 off and I still feel it was overpriced, especially since it was for the device only, no keyboard or pen which are both ridiculously expensive for the Microsoft version. I got a knock-off keyboard which was fine at first but now the cursor jumps around frequently and I'm not that happy with it anymore. I would definitely suggest the Surface Pro keyboard if you can afford it. So I knocked a star off my rating because for the price they charge for the Surface Pro 9, I think they could manage to provide a keyboard, or a pen at the very least. The battery doesn't seem to last as long as it should. Things are in somewhat different places than the 4 so it took some getting used to and I'm still learning. I was told the battery and SSD can be replaced in this model so I really like that fact. Nothing was replaceable in my 4. You can get cases for the Surface Pro but if you have a keyboard, that protects the screen when you close it so you don't always need a case unless it's going to get knocked around. I didn't use a screen protector on my 4 and I don't have one on my 9 but then I rarely take it anywhere and I don't use a pen often. I do love the touch screen which is very responsive. There is no regular USB input, only 2 USB C's, so you need to buy a USB C adapter to have regular USB ports which is just extra equipment hanging off it. It has replaced my laptop for my needs and I am enjoying it. Just wish it wasn't so darn expensive.

Surface pro 9
Front camera and touch screen is very good. Battery Charging is fast with Adaptor.
