A:AnswerYour TV has probably CEC enabled. This feature allows devices with CEC to communicate with each other, so when the TV turns off, it tells the switch to turn off as well. In order to stop this, you will need to disable the CEC controls. You will probably have to go under the settings and browse there to see if you can find CEC options.
A:AnswerThe HDMI Cable from the TV should go to the Output slot on the Rockfish 4 way splitter, and additional HDMI components should be connected in slots 1, 2 or 3.
Let me know if this works.
A:AnswerI would recommend you attach HDMI cable to the switches output and connect that to the HDMI 1 input on the LG TV. Then connect the Cable box, dvd and Wii to the switches HDMI input 1, 2 & 3 inputs with their own HDMI cables. Set the TV to HDMI 1 input and change the switch to either 1, 2 or 3 depending on if you want to watch cable, dvd or play the Wii.
I hope that helps.
A:AnswerIs your HDMI-CEC turned on in your settings? I have a Samsung too and their CEC option on settings is called Anynet+. Having Anynet+ turned on actually did not work with the HDMI switch. Some people have success with Rocketfish switch, but in my case it would only work intermittently with my Samsung products, which was a deal-breaker for me. I tried two of them and kept having the same problem.
A:AnswerI’m going to recommend an HDMI reset. To do this, unplug everything from the power. Disconnect all the HDMI cables from both ends and then reconnect them. Then plug in the source devices to the power. Give them about 30 seconds to boot up before plugging in the selector and then the TV. This should fix the issue for you.
A:AnswerThere are a variety of HDMI cords we offer, which differ in length, price, etc. It all depends on you and what your needs, budget, etc are to make a worthwhile decision. But to answer your question, any HDMI cable should work.
A:AnswerIf you are using a HDMI splitter to push the signal to both devices, the Computer is most likely going to see the splitter as the next device down stream, and therefore only show one display option.
A:AnswerThis should be fixed with an HDMI reset. To do this, unplug the TV, splitter, and the DVD player. Disconnect both HDMI cables from both ends and then reconnect them. Plug in the DVD to the power and let it boot up before plugging in the splitter. After the splitter is on, then plug in the TV. This should fix the issue.
A:Answerreally can't say, but it currently is working well.
2. See answer #1.
3. There is a switch on the box, but we don't use it. We prefer to use the supplied remote.
A:AnswerThis unit works on my Xbox 360 and Xbox One in full 1080p to my Yahama HDMI when in turn passes through to my HDTV. However, for 1080p connectivity, you MUST use and plug in and use this HDMI switchbox's INCLUDED external power adapter. The reason is, newer HD devices like Xbox1/PS4 require "Active" HDMI connection and is normal that any HDMI switchbox would require external power to work at 1080p.
A:AnswerGenerally no, it will not switch manually since the Chromecast is an always on device. It will only switch when it receives a signal when no other signal is present. You will need to switch manually.
While it shouldn't matter, I would probably put one of the Apple TV or Chromecast on the Selector with the DVD player and the other directly to the TV.
A:AnswerYes, as long as you do not intend to pass 4K content from source device (PS4 Pro, Roku Ultra, AppleTV 4K, so on) to TV. This switch only passes 1080p content to TVs. It will connect to a 4K TV. You will get picture.
A:AnswerTake a HMDI cord and plug it into the output slot on the back of the Rocketfish unit and plug the other end into the HMDI port on your tv. Next take the cord for your dvd player and plug one end into the dvd player and the other end into any of the ports on the Rocketfish device. Learn from my mistake and make sure the cord going into your tv is going into the port marked "output." Next use your remote to switch to the port that you used. (It took me a little while to learn which device was hooked into which port.) Also, remember there is a lag time when you switch ports so wait a few seconds before your tv will show a connection to the dvd player. I hope this helps.
A:AnswerI have no idea why they malfunctioned. They have a one year warranty. Take them back. If I have had a problem in the past with a product under warranty Best Buy always took care of me.
