A:AnswerJust picked up a Yamaha v685 for $380 at Adorama. Bought the bose and kef sub here at best buy. One of the best receivers you can get for under $1000.
A:AnswerHello!
The Acoustimass 10 V and Soundbars are different in design, and play audio in different ways. In general, you will get more bass audio out of the Acoustimass 10 series V than out of any of our modern Soundbars (SoundTouch 300, Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700). However, you can also get optional bass modules with these Soundbars, which will assist you in getting a dedicated bass output for these systems.
We would advise that you visit a Bose store to listen to each of these setups in person to ensure that you are happy with your decision before making your final decision.
We hope this helps!
A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our products!
The decision should ultimately be down to your preference and requirements for a system.
On its own, the Soundbar 700 will have use it's 5 speaker to project a virtual surround sound, with the majority of sound for the setup coming from the front of the system. It is possible to also get additional accessory speakers for this system, with the addition of bass modules and surround speaker to enhance the performance of the system. This system also has compatibility with Bluetooth, and can be paired to Wi-Fi through our Bose Music app to access online features such as voice assistants.
On the other hand, the Acoustimass 10 V starts with 6 speakers, with 4 of these being surround speakers, 1 Acoustimass Bass Module, and a front speaker. This provides distinct audio from each direction based on the positioning of the speakers, but does not have any additional features for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Ultimately, we would recommend that you visit one of our stores and have a listen to each system for yourself to be sure that you are happy with the quality of audio before committing to your purchase.
We hope this helps, and have a great day!
A:AnswerHi, Thank you for your question. This will depend on the equaliser and how you have it connected to your system. It may be worth thinking of an amplifier which has an adjustable EQ.
A:AnswerSo the Yamaha TSR 7850 has banana plugs as their method of connecting to the speakers. So you would need to fit banana plugs to the Acoustimass 10 input cables. Other than that the Yahama system is capable of powering the Acoustimass 10 V.
A:AnswerTo attach Bose 301 V speakers, you can add them onto the amplifier into another channel. So if you have a spare left and right connection on your amplifier, you can attach these here. I cannot see the sketch very well as it has come across very blurred. If you need further support please contact Bose technical support and they maybe be able to help further.
A:AnswerYou can add to the system even further if this is something you would like to do to cover more area. The other speakers may have different dynamics but you definitely don't have to use just our speakers.
A:AnswerI have a Bose Acoustimass 10 Series V Home Theater Speaker System. The Center Front Speaker is 3.4" (3 13/32") high, so if you have 4" vertical, you should be OK.
The following are the dimensions/weights of the AM 10 Series V HTSS speakers from the Owner's Guide, which is downloadable from the internet:
Center Front Speaker: 3.4"H x 7.3"W x 3.2"D (8.6cm x 18.5cm x 8.1cm). 2.2 lb (1 kg).
Cube Speaker (4 ea): 7.4"H x 3.2"W x 3.3"D (18.8cm x 8.1cm x 8.4cm). 2.2 lb (1 kg).
Module: 16.3"H x 8.1"W x 25.3"D (41.4cm x 20.6cm x 64.3cm). 35 lb (15.8 kg).
I have measured each speaker/module to confirm the Bose dimensions. While their dimensions in inches are correct, Bose's metric conversions were miscalculated (1" = 2.54cm), so I have provided the corrected metric dimensions.
If you're planning on mounting your AM 10 Series V speakers on the wall or ceiling, you will need the Bose UB-20 Series II Speaker Bracket (Mount). You must use the Series II mount; earlier versions are not physically compatible with the Acoustimass Series V speakers. In the wall mount configuration, the mount arm will extend the speaker approximately 2 3/8" from the wall, and the speaker will have some ability to be adjusted in left/right rotation and up/down tilt. If you prefer a flush mount to the wall, use the Bose WB-50 Bracket. These Bose mounts come in either Black or White.
If you choose the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series V HTSS, I think you'll be impressed with its performance. It can handle up to 200W per channel at 4-8 ohms. However, the speaker system is only half the equation; if you don't already have one, you'll need a compatible AV Receiver (or amplifier if not part of a home theater system) to drive the full performance residing in those Bose speakers.
I hope this information helps the person with the specific question, as well as anyone looking for information relating to the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series V HTSS.
