Question1) Does the RockBox XL have speakers in front and back, and therefore play music in two directions? Or, only in the front, and play in one direction? 2) In general, how is the sound from all directions? Does it fill space well or are there dead spots?

- Answer the back is the bass muffler, this rockbox xl is pretty loud it fills a space well, I have the jbl boombox which is twice the price of the rockbox xl. let me tell you something the rockbox xl is not far behind the jbl boombox in sound quality, im glad I bought the rockbox xl and im keeping it.

- Answer Hi there - No the speaker will not shut down when the devices is disconnected. You will have to power the speaker off. The Just Listen app is currently still under construction and we will look at adding those features!
