  • QuestionCan you connect a blu ray player to it.

    Asked by Sleeper.

    • Answer Hello Sleeper, Yes you can plug other HDMI Devices in to the Fire TV Cube. The HDMI In port works as a pass through that will allow you to switch input sources from the main menu of your Fire TV. When you select inputs on the Fire TV home page and select the Blu Ray Player you will see the main menu of your player pop up on the screen as long as the player is on. You will still need to use your Players remote once the input is selected but the Fire TV Cube will work as an HDMI Pass through for Players, Gaming Systems or other HDMI Peripheral devices. I hope this helps!

  • QuestionWould this device increase the quality of the movies I watch on my plex media server since you can connect directly via ethernet cable to the router? I currently use a Fire Tv 4K Max and it's limited by the fact it uses Wi-Fi. I have 5Gb internet.

    Asked by TvDave.

    • Answer Hello TvDave! If you are referring to 5G home internet through your wireless provider then the issue could be with the stability of the signal. So Wi-Fi may not be your issue, especially since both this device and your 4K Max use Wi-Fi 6 and if your router supports Wi-Fi 6 then you should be getting a rather solid connection. You can definitely try the Ethernet port and hard wire it directly since you will always get a more stable connection wired vs wirelessly but keep in mind that the max speed the Ethernet port on this device supports is 100Mbps so there is a chance that your Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than that depending on your service provider and plan. I hope this helps clear some of that up and that you have a fantastic day!

    Asked by Shawn.

    • Answer Yes, the cube or fire sticks only cover one tv each. I have the Cube on my main tv that I use and the latest firestick for my other tvs. They both work great. The Cube is just faster and runs everything smoother.
