Single router that uses a mesh system. You can buy many of these and they will all join together and create a unified network. The main difference in this and a super high powered not-mesh standalone is that you can use both bands with smart home stuff. you know like how your cheap made-in-china smart plug, or light bulb, or alarm clock will only connect to the 2.4 (or whatever) network, but the TV and your google home are on the 5.whatever one? And they like, lose each other? This utilizes both with one network name and password and routes accordingly. It’s also super strong and can handle nearly as much as I could throw at it… 4k streaming on multiple devices frequently, and the only lagging I had was pretty clearly after software updates to the devices I was trying to stream with….
