  • QuestionAre you able to bring these on an airplane?. I have an international flight and I’d like to be able to play the switch to pass time

    Asked by Thea44.

    • Answer You can only take batteries rated under 100Wh. The Anker Powercore sits at a 74.37Wh (20,100mAh/1000 x 3.7V) which means you can take it with you on a plane.

  • QuestionWill this also work to charge my Chromebook?

    Asked by Alexis.

    • Answer If ur chrome book charges with a usb cable, yes! But if it is like a normal laptop with a plug in the wall no. If ur chrome book charges with the same thing as ur cell phone cable, then yes. Think cell phone cable. Most laptops need a power brick that plugs into the wall.

  • QuestionAm I able to charge the Power Core with any type c cable, or does it need to be the Nintendow Switch Charger?

    Asked by Singerguy.

    • Answer It does not need to be the official Nintendo Charger, but you will get a much faster transfer rate with the official charger. I'm not saying you can't find another charger that could work better, but you would want to match the specs to get a similar charge. My wife has used her Samsung phone charger to charge it as well (but then she uses the Anker to charge her phone too.) Charging Nintendo Switch Accessories The Nintendo Switch AC Adapter is designed to charge official Switch accessories. You can charge a Pro Controller, Joy-Con Charging Grip, or Poké Ball Plus by plugging in the USB-C cable. They charge better than a phone as they draw less power. Each controller only draws up to 2.5W. Where as a modern smartphone wants 8-16W. That said, you should charge the controllers through the Switch’s dock. The dock has three USB-A ports, and each can provide 2.5W . The controllers also include the needed USB-C to USB-A cable. You can also recharge the Nintendo licensed power banks from Anker. Those accept a 15V/2A power input, which the Switch AC adapter can provide. Other USB-C power banks with similar power input needs (most 30W+ models) will also recharge. Lower output power banks (15-18W) usually want 9V or 12V power input. The Switch AC adapter provides neither, and its 5V output is weak. Most low output power banks end up refusing the connection.

  • QuestionCan I use the USB cable that comes with the Switch Pro Controller to charge from the Power Bank to the Switch? Or do I have to use the one that comes with the PowerCore charger?

    Asked by John.

    • Answer The included cable is usb-c to usb-c, which allows for PowerDelivery if the connected item is capable. This should result in a faster charge than using a usb-a to usb-c cable.

  • QuestionUnder specs it mentions its amps and recharge time. Are those amp's in put or output? Basically if I hook it up to a fast charging device will it keep up?

    Asked by Tj.

    • Answer Specs Capacity: 20100mAh / 72.36Wh PD USB-C Input: 5V=3A, 9V=3A, 15V=2A, 20V=1.5A PD The other values usually are for the output. it Is a PD charger, so the input / output will vary depending on demand. It's preferred to use a Nintendo Switch charger, but any PD charger that matches the above should work. It does use a USB-C connector, though. As long as the charger uses the PD spec, even if it's a higher rate, it should work. It should throttle down and may not FAST CHARGE as designed for something other than a Switch.
