• The best thing to do is to play more with Cosmo and be the friend to Cosmo. The more you use it, the more it is able to better interact. It sounds like your 8 year old wants to be passively entertained rather than taking a more active role. Play the games, drive Cosmo around, have it recognize his face. My family likes this robot a lot. We even use it as a "stealth spy" in our in-house Nerf battles since you can see what it sees.
