A:AnswerDepends upon how you handling situations. Standard wait time is 40 days. If you paid full, then you can request via T-Mobile social network to get unlock within 3 days. You should have account in T-Mobile and the phone must be fully paid off. I purchased 3 phones from Best Buy. All of them unlocked with in week.
A:AnswerYou’re not confused. You nailed it. Being a current subscriber to T-Mobile, you would have to add a line to your account to receive the discount. Likely check in with a T-Mobile store, as there might be upgrade offers if you were to trade in a device that is eligible. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerActeually, they are giving $200 off when we trade in phone. But, the phone can be unlocked through t-mobile. I unlocked immediately by contacting T-Mobile via social network. On my personal account.
A:AnswerHeck yes that’s the beauty of SIM Cards really as long as they are being inserted into a network device you can pretty much go to go. So if both devices are T-Mobile devices you will be fine. The only thing that makes a locked phone “locked” means that the device can only be used exclusively for a network until certain events occur such as paying the device off 12 months after being on a network of you are on a monthly payoff. I am not certain as to what all the rules are as I have always purchased my phone upfront and been with T-Mobile for quite some time. If you want to know more about the rules and how to swap out SIM cards better Samsung to IPhone there’s step by step instructions on Apple for where the iPhones SIM card is and how to place it. You may even be able to use a virtual SIM card and never have to take out any of the SIM cards and instead switch between the two or have both on at the same time. It’s your choice! The SIM card being attached to the account is all you’ll need.
A:AnswerI still can't see the lock/unlock status on my T-Mobile account but if you go to BestBuy store, they'll do everything for you (setting up and activating your new phone). We have a T-Mobile One plan which we didn't have to mess around with at all. Everything works as it should including 5G.
A:AnswerNo, this phone is a T-Mobile device. Once the device has been paid in full and activated for a certain duration, you can then have it unlocked.
A:AnswerYes it’s ”locked” to T-Mobile so it can be used right away on the carrier but after a few months you can request to have the device unlocked so you can use it on any carrier universally. That’s what it means to be unlocked and locked it’s just either you can use it somewhere else after. If you buy from retailers they make them network specific so you can easily swap or take advantage of the carrier new line promo but buying them outside of the carrier upfront can make them easily unlocked for other carriers. Now to allow your device to allow unknown sources aka jail breaking is found in android devices as a one click thing but with Apple you have to individually pick permissions for each app that you want capable of downloading unknown sources.
