• To install Arlo Video Doorbell, users must have a wired doorbell and chime with existing electrical wiring, voltage between 16V AC and 24V AC, and a 10VA transformer.

• The device works with your existing doorbell. It uses the low voltage transformer as it's AC power source. Which means this Arlo device never needs batteries!

• The Arlo Video Doorbell will work with most existing chime units that are already wired and work off of a transformer. No worries - virtually all modern day wired chimes have a transformer. Go to the Arlo site and there is more detailed info for install and connecting to existing chimes. Hope this helps.
