“I need a modem with a voice/phone-jack for my phone. This is the only one BestBuy offers with a phone jack (or two). Will this modem replace the rental from TimeWarner/Spectrum without regrets. I do have a WiFi router ready for a modem.”

I just bought my own voice modem and during setup was told by Spectrum that they do not allow you to use your own modem for voice. This seems unfair, but that was the answer from their techs.

Note: Arris modems are listed as compatible so there should not be an issue with Internet service. Ask Spectrum: How do I purchase my own Internet modem if I have Phone service? "If you subscribe to the Phone service, you will need to continue to use the modem you've been given for the phone service. However, you can still purchase your own modem for Internet service to avoid the Modem Lease Fee. You will need a splitter to connect your modem to the existing cable line. You may pickup an Easy Connect kit at your local Spectrum Store. This kit will provide you with a splitter for your connection. You can also opt to have the kit mailed to you."
