I was also renting a similar model from my Internet provider (Comcast). I purchased the ARRIS SBG6950 as a compatible replacement. The AC1900 should be a compatible replacement, however, I would recommend looking on your provider's website for a list of compatible modem based on your Internet requirement (ie, speed). The provide should have a list of compatible modems; try the FAQ if you don't know where to start.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First of all you will pay for buying one in a year or less. These rentals are not always new and can be a problem. Second, the Arris you are looking to buy is one of the best available as far a performance and durability. Third, you have Best Buy Geek squad to resolve any issues versus some one up north or in India talking with you on the phone. I bought this same one and love it. Read up on the two and compare them.
