black is for ps4/pc whit is for xbox/pc they have different drivers in the mixamps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.(A40) Between the older model Gen3 / Gen4, the only real upgrade would be Mic quality and the new Dolby Atmos software. The 40mm Drivers are pretty much the same. As for the A50 Gen3 / Gen4 there is only a few noticeable differences like slightly longer battery life and the mic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find the audio quality to be a lot better BUT I only upgraded because I had an issue with my mix amp. If yours are working properly than it might not be worth the upgrade. With that being said I absolute love them!!!!!!

Please try again later.I'd say the main difference is purely aesthetic as far as looks go and the mixer amp was changed up a bit the previous white ones seemed to last longer mine only lasted 10 days and the cable for the mixer amp to the headset stopped working so I returned mine but the new ones did come with a 2 year dolby atmos code so you could get the full effect of the surround sound out of the headset itself unlike previous ones.
