I've had this issue with every Asus router I've ever had. It's currently happening to me on my 3100. There only thing i can get anyone to tell me is that it's faulty hardware and the band is burning out. I can understand that once but over all my owned asus routers it's happened to all of them at some point in their life. First time it happened it was off warranty so I was out of luck, lately it's been shorter so I just take it back and exchange it. My problem is I paid an extra 200 for this router thinking their high end wouldn't have this issue but no it happened one of the fastest out of them all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Install and load up the Asus Merlin firmware for this device, should clean up all of your issues that you are experiencing. Simple google Asus Merlin Firmware and you will find the appropriate page to download the correct firmware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes same issues even with 5GHz band too. Not a good router. The 68U by Asus I also have and never had this issue. I am taking this one back. Trust me I did all the tweaks, tests and updated firmware and it did not fix
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not having any disconnect problem but I was having connect problems that only could be resolved by rebooting router. If I didn't, devices would say connected but with no internet connectivity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not having that problem. Contact support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe you a had a lemon ?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. Tech support told me it was faulty hardware. They seem to have seen this problem before, as evidenced by their quick advice to take it back to the store for replacement. It was annoying, as they didn't seem to consider the difficulties of having my home business wifi fail and the inconvenience of having to lose work time to return it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Update the firmware, it helps. I have also noticed some disconnects with an older laptop, but things like ipads and such seem to be stable on the 2.4ghz band. I think it has to do with the drivers on the older laptop in my case. You can try limiting the channel width on your 2.4ghz band to just 20mhz, it's slower but so is 2.4 anyway. Limiting the channel width can help with older devices and narrows the chance of interference causing a device to disconnect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At first I did so switched back to 2.4 as needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had no issues with connection on any 5G or 2.5G connections. It sounds as if you may have a lot of wireless devices causing interference. This is typical in places that have wireless camera security systems. The multiple wireless cameras cause a great deal of signal loss between the router and wireless N devices, but has no impact on the 5G signal as it's running at a different frequency range.
