QuestionDo batteries go dead in handset with no notice?How many hours will the handset batteries last in live "talk-time" conversations (I see some new phones advertising 6-8 hours) before needing to be recharged; and how long will a handset last on standby (at the bedside but not being used, talked on, receiving calls, or any other activities) before having to go back into the base for recharging. Some of the new phones are advertising 8-11 DAYS! But I must say, this is a very very good deal! .\

- Answer I tend to have long ( three hour) conference calls. In use, my battery begins beeping at about 3.5 hours. I just move to another handset. Not actively in use, I would say the charge lasts several days. You also can see an icon that indicates battery power on each handset.

- Answer Any handset can answer any call, and any handset can pick up during a call without having to "transfer" the call - they're all live all the time on the same line.

QuestionHELP! I need a new home phone and cannot find what I want exactly.I want a home phone w/answering machine and no more that 2 additional handsets, Of course caller ID, etc is required. However my ONLY fast and hard requirements are; I MUST be able to 100% mute the ringer volume since I sleep odd hours most of the time. I'm not particular about the brand of phone except VTech is OFF the table and not subject to negotiation. Been there, done that, It didn;t end well, My Budget is $60 to $100, and I need this phone ASAP. Can someone please get back to me so that I may get this purchased and in transit. - Answer I must say, you would really like the AT&T - DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering System. Very reasonable. You are able to turn ringers off or down. I highly recommend!! Hope this helps!!

QuestionWhat color is the display light?

- Answer The screen is light blue with blue lettering, and the numbers light up with a red orange backlight. While resting those displays are dark with dark gray lettering. Also while resting, there is one small red light that stays on, and one slightly larger light on the holder that stays lit.

- Answer Yes, the number of messages is displayed and flashes in red on the main base; base also alerts you with a beep if there are any new messages. Each handset also displays # of missed calls & messages, and you can listen to messages directly from any handset.

- Answer Pull the battery out of your phone and google it by model number. Pick a website to buy your batteries from. I recently had to replace the batteries in my older model DECT 6.0 phones (7 of them) and was able to order a set of 8 batteries, decent price, delivered within a week. They came slightly charged. Easy to install, all phones working like new.

- Answer You can use either if you are using the base to record your messages; if you are an AT&T customer and are using the cloud to record your messages your will have to use the handset so that you can authenticate with the cloud using your pin#.

- Answer Yes- the base unit (with answering machine) comes w/ a wall mount. The individual satellite handsets cannot be wall mounted, and just sit in their charging stations.

- Answer On the back of the modem there is a place for the 4pair cat5 cable (phone cable). Just hook to the modem and the phone base and it should connect.
