“HELP! I need a new home phone and cannot find what I want exactly. I want a home phone w/answering machine and no more that 2 additional handsets, Of course caller ID, etc is required. However my ONLY fast and hard requirements are; I MUST be able to 100% mute the ringer volume since I sleep odd hours most of the time. I'm not particular about the brand of phone except VTech is OFF the table and not subject to negotiation. Been there, done that, It didn;t end well, My Budget is $60 to $100, and I need this phone ASAP. Can someone please get back to me so that I may get this purchased and in transit. I must say, you would really like the AT&T - DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering System. Very reasonable. You are able to turn ringers off or down. I highly recommend!! Hope this helps!!

Please try again later.I highly recommend this phone. it only takes one phone cord plug for the whole system and that's the main handset with the digital answering machine. The other handsets only need a power source. The answering machine works great. No matter which handset you pick up you can get your messages. It also has a great intercom so you can call room to room if you want to say call the kids who keep their door closed for privacy without yelling thru the house, so it would work well if you are sleeping and say someone in the kitchen wants to ask someone in a different bedroom something about or dinner or whatever without waking you from yelling or having to leave the kitchen while cooking. The system comes with the answering machine handset and 2 additional ones and is expandable. I bought mine from Best Buy for $50. It just can't be beat. The AT&T - DECT Expandable Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Machine just can't be beat. Oh and the MUTE button you required is on every handset. You will absolutely love this phone. And the speaker phone works better than any other phone I ever had. You just can't go wrong with this phone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Each phone has a volume control....I have each of them set at different levels...The one by my bed I turned the volume off.....It will flash when a call comes in but you can't hear it.
