Go here: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/ and put a unlock request. ATT will send you an email with unlock code. Then you can use any sim on this phone. Make sure you select that you are not an ATT customer on the afore-mentioned web page.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Consumers Cellular uses AT&T AND T-Mobile towers and have different sim cards. I have Consumers Cellular (signed up through Sears) and they initially put in a sim card for T-Mobile in a "Doro" phone that I bought. The Doro phone was poor charging and I went to buy an AT&T phone. When Best Buy switched the sim card to the AT&T phone they could not connect me. I called Consumers Tech Support from home, and they said I should get an AT&T sim card from Target or Sears, where you sign up for Consumers Cellular, and tell them you want to replace your T-Mobile sim card with a new AT&T sim card.. It cost $10 and Consumers gives a $10 credit off your next bill. Once the AT&T sim card was installed, the AT&T phone was able to be set up by Best Buy. and works great - especially holding a charge for about a week. Switching the sim card required the guy at Sears to call someone at Consumers and change from T-Mobile to AT&T sim card and took some time but it worked. I paid twice as much for the Doro phone from Sears, returned it once because it could not hold a charge, and the replacement was just as bad - needed to be charged every 2nd or 3rd day. I couldn't be happier with the AT&T phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a iPhone SE purchased from Consumer Cellular and on their service (which rides on AT&T's network) and the charging port failed. I purchased another SE on eBay which was listed as locked to AT&T. I put my sim card in the replacement phone and as far as I can tell everything works relative to voice calls. I don't have a data plan and don't really care if that works or not.
