Under My Subscriptions, click on Manage next to your My Best Buy Total™ Yearly Membership. Under Discount Codes, click on Add Discount Code. Enter the discount code and click on Apply. One of the most popular benefits of Totaltech is free in-home installation of a new TV purchased from Best Buy, when scheduled during the purchase transaction. This includes mounting that new television to the wall, even if you have an existing TV in that spot. We would unmount the existing TV and then put up the new one. You specifically asked about moving the existing TV to another room, and our agents are generally happy to help out with that. If part of that "moving" process includes setting up that old TV in the other room, and/or mounting that existing TV to the wall, that would incur some additional (discounted!) charges, but just moving it would be free. And haul away of an existing TV is also included for free with any TV purchase, for our valued Totaltech members.

  • QuestionThis is a yearly service. So I will likely pay twice to get that 2 years of coverage. Yes, there are other things included but many are already free. There is also a fee for each claim. Seems smarter to buy the 5 year warranty. Why am I wrong?

Best Buy's standard TV Connect and Mount service includes removing and relocating an existing mount, so you would not need to pay extra for that part of the job you describe. Totaltech members get a 20% discount off services for existing devices (like the 3-year old 55" TV you have). So, that service would discount from the standard fee of $250 down to $200 if you bought a Totaltech membership at the same time. OR (I like this option), find an extra TV you might like to purchase for less than $200 (they exist), purchase that one and a Totaltech membership, and schedule the TV Connect and Mount as you describe at the same time (eg, for the 55"). In home services are free, if scheduled with a corresponding TV purchase, so take that $200 we would charge you for an a la carte service, and get a "free" TV out of it instead.

You can purchase totaltech for $199 at anytime, and all purchases going forward that offer an extended warranty, will be provided automatically for 2 years as long as you remain a TotalTech Member.
