Hello Kate, we are sorry for the experience you had. It does seem like the light of the 211+ is not functioning as it should. Please try to hold down the power button firmly for up to 45 seconds to a minute. If the problem persists, we suggest arranging for an exchange from the original BestBuy you've purchased from or contact [email protected] and request for a warranty exchange. We'd be very happy to send you a new one under warranty.
