• No there is not an activation fee. Your cost is the purchase of this 3 Mth SIM Card plan. After the 3 months you can decide to continue with Boost and will have the chance to continue with this plan or pick a new rate plan.

• I just started using one. I didn't have to make any payment of any kind. It was ready to use out of the packaging. The only things you need to worry about are phone compatibility and coverage.
