- Answer With this system, the Acoustimass module connects directly to the speaker outputs on a receiver and then the cube speakers connect to the back of the Acoustimass. It serves as a crossover for the cube speakers. Here are the specs for compatibility with a non-Bose receiver: 10-100 W per channel, 4-8 ohms.

QuestionI currently have a 7.1 Denon and use a pair of Mirage front speakers and center channel, how well will the Bose pair as rear channel, and the Acoustimaster connects to the sub woofer output on the Denon? My media room is 12x8, so on the small side.

- Answer Because of the unique way that this speaker system works with your receiver, it is ideal to use as the front left/right speakers in order to maximize the bass response of the Acoustimass module. Having said that, we've talked to many customers who've opted to use as a rear channel solution and are happy with the results.

QuestionI bought a accoustimass 5 series v system having told the salesman that my husband had a record deck but needed an amplifier and speakers. It appears from the box (now we have come to set it up) and the instructions that we also need an amplifier???????

- Answer Hi. That is a great question. The Bose require an amplifier to power them. If you can find a Bluetooth amplifier you have an interesting solution. One word of caution. I am not sure what the frequency response and distortion specs of the Dot are. The Bose are likely overkill. I am also not sure if the Dot will broadcast Bluetooth in stereo. Hope this helps
