I have a max trainer M9, and from what I understand it used to have auto resistance and some people still have it but they had to do some sort of update. Don’t know if BowFlex had so many problems with it , that they just removed it from the new updated program. I wish they would put it back. Now the training programs don’t match with what you’re doing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't auto-adjust unfortunately. Always need to then the knob.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found that no it doesn’t auto adjust it, you have to adjust it yourself. The thinking behind it is for you to tailor how much or how little. The coach in the JRNY app tells you how much resistance you should be doing during the workout and at times of when the workout is changing pace. But it’s mostly a suggestion and she will give a general verbal que of “increase to medium resistance” for example. But my definition of medium resistance is different then say yours so they leave it up to the user to define what resistance they should be doing. That’s my take on it hope it helps :)
