My question was if metal pans could be used in the oven function. I guess I will stay with my Pyrex. I just bought the Combi wave and Iam impressed so far even though I think it’s rather pricey.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The metal for the trivet has been designed specifically for use in the Breville® BMO870 Combi Wave™ Microwave and in most of the Breville® Microwaves. This trivet won't retain much heat. Using pans that are not those designed for use in the Microwave can be an issue as they will retain heat. Also, the manufacturer must be contacted to ensure that the pans are rated for use in a toaster oven.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I love this Breville 3 in 1 machine! We’ve had it about a year & use it daily. It comes with a “trivet” for the oven & a “pan” for the air fryer. We mainly use the trivet to make toast. Well my teenage daughter put some chicken nuggets on the trivet and turned it on air fry…bad idea! The smell is what made me come into the kitchen to look. The trivet was all black & 5 days later my kitchen still stinks like char! The unit still operates, so no real damage. But the takeaway is-only use the trivet on oven mode!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same question. The poorly written and organized instruction booklet never explains what the trivet is specifically for. Ridiculous! What’s safe and what’s not?
