To the person that said "Pressing any button will awake it", no. It won't. I've disabled Deep Sleep, but still when it "sleeps" it won't wake up. Pressing button won't do it, I can even go into settings but despite the printer going through those motions, it appears to do it WHILE SLEEPING because pending jobs won't come out. Only way is to turn off then on again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm also terribly frustrated by this problem with the Brother HL-L2305W! I found the easiest solution is to open and close the front cover where the toner is. This gets it out of sleep and deep sleep.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried ALL of the suggestions here and my printer still said “sleep”. That was with eco mode turned off. Every time I tried to print from my Mac it was “offline”. I downloaded the app on my iPhone and reset my WiFi on the printer before I connected it. It scanned for my phone app. Still offline on my Mac. I had to delete the printer and re-add it on my Mac. Now it works. It DOES still say “sleep” on the printer, but when I go to printer settings on my Mac, it has a green dot and is “idle”.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't believe how horrible this product is for how expensive. I have tried all of the suggestions and nothing worked. The only thing that seems to work sometimes is to turn it off and on or else to go to the printer and devices section of windows and click troubleshoot - it never finds any problem but sometimes it'll just start printing. Second time owning a brother and I'm disgusted with their hardware and software. - Buuuutt not a lot of options now, are there?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I keep having the same problem with my Surface Pro. Somehow the printer doesn't wake up even when a print job is sent. Pressing the buttons on the printer doesn't seem to do anything. The only way it wakes up at this point is for me to use my Android tablet to send a print job. After that, the printer is displayed as "online" on my Surface Pro. Weird...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On the MFC-L3770CDW I had to go to do the following: Settings > All Settings > General Setup > Ecology > Sleep Time > Hold the * button down until you receive a message asking if Deep Sleep should be On or Off. I selected Off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used the suggestions above (thank you!). What worked for me was opening and closing the ink part PLUS restarting my PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only thing that has worked for me is to open the front panel where the toner is kept, close it, and the printer is now "ready". I would suggest making the SLEEP time in settings the highest value it can be as well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have found that my WiFi occasionally changes to a different network than the one I set for my printer. If I change back to the right WiFi connection, it wakes up and prints immediately.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.UNGLUG, WAIT ONE MINUTE, PLUG BACK IN, THIS WORKED FOR ME,
