YES. If I haven't used the printer for a few days the print gets garbled. The "normal" cleaning process fixes it. The printer cleans itself periodically but apparently that's not enough to avoid the clogging. I love the printer but this is a problem. I'm nearing the end of my first set of ink cartridges so I'll see what happens after I replace them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - they will clog. I don't have this printer but I have another printer with the INK tank. After not using the printer for several days, the printing came out not aligned and with colors missing. I went through all the cleaning and other maintenance tips, but it didn't work. Cleaning and purging the heads uses up a lot of ink. When I finished, I printed test sheets and the problems were only marginally better. I decided to use black only and skip the colors because black was printing ok. Unfortunately, all the cleaning emptied one of the color cartridges and the printer won't print even black only if one of the other cartridges is empty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This printer is absolute garbabe. If i don't print something for 2 days (TWO DAYS), the color comes out with white lines and washed out. I have to do 'strongest' ink clogging maintenance to get it decent again. What a waste. Definitely just get a laser printer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your Brother MFCJ4335DW machine will perform maintenance purges of the print head at regular intervals. The cleaning is to ensure consistent print quality and prevent damage to the print head. These purges remove any air or debris that may have gotten into the print head manifold. Your machine will use the minimum amount of ink necessary to perform this operation. Triggering of the cleaning cycles occurs by things such as temperature and humidity. The printer maintains a certain humidity in the printhead to keep the ink in the nozzles fluid. If the temperature or humidity of the environment drops too low (or gets too high), the printer may clean more frequently to maintain the head. (For example, someone whose printer is in a garage in Phoenix Arizona during the summer may clean more often than someone who has their printer in a stable office environment). The machine will do a self-check daily- the machine will make noise, the print head will move to the flushing box and then back to the maintenance unit so the nozzles can be wiped. This process may be confused with a cleaning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This thing is garbage. Tried to use non brother ink, it revolted. Printed nothing. Cleaned print head. Made it worse. Bought brother ink, prints less than it did before I cleaned the print head. Garbage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is the worst printer I have ever owned. To bad, as I have had excellent results with Brother in the past. I literally have to do a manual cleaning every week if the printer goes longer that 3 days without printing. I want to throw it out the window.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NOT YET BUT I HAVE ONLY HAD THE PRINTER FOR TWO MONTHS
