• A:Answer Definition of: PGBK (or PB). PGBK. (PaGe BlacK or PiGmented BlacK) The black ink in Canon inkjet printers used for regular printed documents. The PGBK pigmented ink does not adhere well to coated stock. In contrast, the BK cartridge is used for photos. PGBK ink is intended for uses like text, it's smudge resistant and good for fine lines. BK ink is intended for photographs, it's richer. The printer defaults to PGBK for text, lines etc - unless it thinks they are part of a photo. • A:Answer This is based on my personal experience, no recommendation by Canon. I purchased a 4-pack January 2020, but was purchased in a store, not online. I just put the last cartridge in the printer last week. Ink level showed a full cartridge. Therefore I am assuming that unopened with plastic wrap in place, not subject to high heat, the ink should last just over a year, maybe longer.

• A:Answer Yes... But it's way overpriced. Find ts9120 ink on amazon. Read the reviews of the listings and you'll find an excellent alternative for half the price... Plus, the printer recognizes them as authentic. Amazon all the way. Canon cartridges are formatted to make you buy ink more often because they "run out" too fast!

• A:Answer I have never had the occasion to test whether the ink when printed is waterproof. However a few random drops of water don’t cause smearing. Because most of my printing is on plain 20# paper, I feel it’s prudent to avoid water as the paper itself is not waterproof.
