Definition of: PGBK (or PB). PGBK. (PaGe BlacK or PiGmented BlacK) The black ink in Canon inkjet printers used for regular printed documents. The PGBK pigmented ink does not adhere well to coated stock. In contrast, the BK cartridge is used for photos. PGBK ink is intended for uses like text, it's smudge resistant and good for fine lines. BK ink is intended for photographs, it's richer. The printer defaults to PGBK for text, lines etc - unless it thinks they are part of a photo. Use the type of Black ink that best matches what you print. I got this info from: https://superuser.com/questions/751420/how-to-disable-pgbk-ink-on-a-canon-printer-and-use-bk-for-black
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.280 is the proper number for PB (Page black - essentially text). 281 is just for photo color/black.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about the ink replenish program as I still purchase as I need via sales, coupons, and recycle vouchers. It's NUTS how they sell this ink, but must come from some data showing what needs most frequent replacing. I've found aa 2 different combo packs - but still not with each of the 6 required as the purple is always left out. I don't fully understand why there are 2 BLACK !! (one large, one small) needed either unless the small blends somehow with the colors to make some other color. It stinks to have to purchase any single ink at a full price. I think one has to figure out what kind of printing will be done and decide what inks you will need and stock based on your individual printing needs. Good luck. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can purchase a set of inks that include photo blue OR you can buy a Value Pack that has 281 black, cyan, magenta, yellow and the XL 280 black. You can then purchase the individual photo blue cartridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am disappointed that the no longer offer the 10% Discount. A few months back they told me they do it in store only, now that isn't even the case. As for the PB, I suggest you look for that as an individual number. Sometimes the last number is different by one digit. Hope that helps.
