- Answer Canon PG-260 XL Black Ink Cartridge, CL-261 XL Color Ink Cartridge The XL designates long lasting. The number without the XL are cheaper but don't last long. Hope that helps

QuestionLooking to purchase a Canon printer that can print edible images. Is this a good one for that? Are the ink cartridges the same for all Canon printers?

- Answer From my research, Canon printers and inks are not edible. Since I was unfamiliar with edible inks, I find there are specific printers and inks available for this purpose. With regard to Canon ink being the same for all printers, I can confirm they are not the same since my current printer is my third Canon and each previous printer ink cartridges are different and cannot be used on my current printer. I'm trying to determine if there is a way to trade in the unused cartridges for ink that will work with my new printer and give those that are partially used to someone who can use them.

- Answer Yes, It can copy,scan and print . I think is the right printer for you. This is color printer and you also print black and white from if want. It was also easy to setup with your wife and print from any of your device in your house.

- Answer Yes. Our son has the same computer and it worked. You have to download the printer drivers and add printer to your network. Instructions provided via a QR code made it easy.

- Answer If you go into your cannon utilities, there is IJ scan utility. That will open a window with scanning options. Make sure to do settings first to direct what folder you are scanning into. Once you do it you'll find that it is very easy. Good luck.

- Answer You have to go into device settings on the printer and shut off the auto off function. It defaults to shut off after a period of time.

- Answer The printer can connect to wifi and bluetooth, as well as USB, which is how I have it setup, so I suppose it would be possible to print from either your phone or internet connected device, Best to look up the manual online and check to make sure this model will do what you have in mind.

- Answer No monthly fee to use the printer. You will need a USB/square-printer connector cable to connect the printer directly to your laptop/workstation if you don't have WiFi/internet services (this cable is not included with the printer). Your fee is for WiFi/internet services.
