Funny how little information there is, The Ring Chime Device has a Hidden Network called RingOfSecurity-"macaddress" and it is on your network and can be joined as a hidden network, it is doing a NAT pool though so you will be double nat ted when connected to it. The Trick is finding the SSID password. I used Meraki AP and ran packet capture then add the door bell to the ChimePro and you will get the info you need. BAM free wifi extender which Ring should not hide from you anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a proprietary unit with a specific purpose, to extend wifi for the RING devices. It's setup is done in the RING app specifically for their devices to connect to it instead of connecting directly to the local wifi network. It is not meant, nor is it compatible for standard "wifi extender" use. You can purchase a wifi extender (non RING) for other needs, and probably at less cost as well. The RING extender is, however, an excellent way to make sure enough signal gets from your RING Devices to your network without 3rd party device integration. Much easier!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I doubt it. It seems like it is only for Ring products. Call their Customer service to be sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IOS can be used to setup. It is only a chime for the system nothing else.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nah...the Chime pro acts as an extender for Ring devices. only ring devices see the broadcast from the chime pro. its a bummer
