“Can you have the usb plugged into your pc and have the 3.5 mm jack plugged into a ps4 controller and hear the audio from both at the same time? If not are there any gaming headsets anyone would recommend? I want to use discord and play ps4 at the sametime”

I'm pretty sure you can. I've used it wirelessly on my PC while having the 3.5 MM Jack in my PS4 controller at the same time and it worked perfectly fine. So I don't see any problem with doing that. (For those of you who use Xbox controllers, you can use the headset on that also.)

You'd probably better off getting a 3.5mm splitter and a long aux cable. If your plan is to wired most of the time, definitely save yourself some money and find another headset. I'd get the drop+sennheiser pc37X headset.
