QuestionI purchased this for my son for Christmas as I was told it will also plug into a car lighter to warm for men in construction but it did not come with an adapter to do so?

- Answer Hello! What you need is a 110V AC Outlet Car Adapter converter for the cigarette lighter plug. Best Buy does not have these but amazon.com has several. Just be certain that you pick one that has a standard plugin for the crock pot. It is possible that it may not work if the vehicle is turned off. Very common in most newer cars and trucks. Good luck!

- Answer Yes, you can warm up at night and store in the pot. But it is a waste of time since the pot warms the food for you. It will stay hot as long as it is plugged in or up to 30 to 45 minutes after. No Battery.

- Answer It has an inner removable metal insert with separate lid. I leave the pot in my work truck and bring the insert inside, fill it then place in fridge overnight

- Answer Haven't left plugged in more than a half hour so don't know if it can cook but it gets hot. I eat straight from the bowl just make sure you have a napkin or something to hold the bowl because it does get hot.
