- Answer My daughter (who attended culinary classes) tells me the color coding addresses meat, veg, dairy, etc to avoid cross contamination. Not such a big deal for home use, but in a busy commercial kitchen it CAN be............I'd say for the price, HIDE the orange knife and sheath ; )

QuestionAre these knives honed for both left and right handed use? Most knives I find won't cut when I try using them with my left hand. The blade just slides off.

- Answer I have not seen one while shopping and I have never seen one mentioned in customer reviews. Each knife in the set comes with a matching, sturdy sheath so that they can all safely live in a drawer. The knives are normal sizes and would likely fit in a block purchased elsewhere. (Given the bright colors, a black one would look great!). Unsheathed, they could also be displayed on a magnetic knife holder strip.

- Answer They're usually that price on black friday with a rebate. Jcpenny, belk, kohls, and Macy's have priced them for 4.99 a couple times after rebate during Christmas time.

- Answer Great question! 3 months ago they were at this $10 price but both times I have not been able to get this deal. However, I just ordered the, thru Walmart. Shipping is free, delivered in 4 days, for $16. So if you are okay with $6 more, this is the way to go. Either way, way cheaper than standard price. Have a good day!
