A:AnswerThe answer is yes. The Denon reciever will help set this up in the initial startup/setup guide process. For users with a Amazon fire stick...the fire stick must be plugged into a HDMI port in back of the reciever and NOT on the TV. If plugged into the TV your sound will cut off periodically. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerYou might want to make sure that there is good ventilation (airflow) around the unit. I had an older Denon that developed that same problem and I was told I should just replace it. I purchased this same unit AVRS540BT.
I hope I don't have your same problem.
A:AnswerYes. It pairs with Amazon Alexa and you can connect it to whatever wired speakers you want. It will not SEND Bluetooth signal to wireless speakers.
A:AnswerYes, I just purchased the Insignia IR extender. Plugged it in and attached the modules to multiple components; closed the door and could control everything with a touch of the remote.
You do not need a TV for use of the unit. You can skip the setup assistant by pressing the BACK button on your remote and following the guide to exit the setup assistant.
A:AnswerYou can, by putting the receiver in all channel/multichannel stereo mode. This will out put stereo to the Front LT/Front RT/Surround RT/Surround LT. If you are using more then 5 speakers and are connecting more then one speaker in a single terminal, I would recommend a speaker selector box to put less strain on the receiver.
A:AnswerIt will work to generate Front Left, Front Right and Center track info from a 5.1 Dolby or DTS format, but you will be missing out on 25% of the track with no Surround channels connected. You can also use the 3 speakers in a Multi Channel Stereo application as the the Center channel will receive a mix of left and right audio.
A:AnswerThe AVR's Video Select feature gives you the ability to listen to audio from the FM tuner and watch a different HDMI based video source. Select the Tuner source first and then press the OPTION button on the remote. Enable Video Select and set the source to CBL/SAT.
A:AnswerNo, the microphone (included) input is used to calibrate the amplifier to the speakers and room characteristics. There is no other microphone input.
A:AnswerI wouldn't recommend it. Although Denon does make some high end receivers (e.g. Denon PMA-800NE) this model is designed for the average family TV experience. According to the manual, it supports speakers in the 6-16 ohm range.
A:AnswerYes so far all without any issues beats, Sony, Apple AirPod and Bose.. my sound bar was the only thing I had issues connecting with. which was a matter of 5mins to resolve .. as apposed the secs. It took for the headphones to find and connect.
