A:AnswerHi Craig. Thanks for reaching out about this! I'm sorry to hear that you're running into issues with your laptop. This definitely does sound like a hard drive. But being you replaced it already, it may be something else. We'd be happy to take a look at it and see what's going on. To get started, please visit www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a free consultation at your local Best Buy.
A:AnswerHi Betty, I just saw your post and even being 6 months since you posted it, I hope my message gets to you before you buy a new laptop. The tech guy is right about the costs of the repairs not being worth it, however, sometimes tech folks are all about the latest, best and fastest technology. But I understand what you are asking and am sensitive to your circumstances. Using your laptop to pass the time tells me that you would be wasting money in paying for new functions you won't ever use if you buy new laptop. So, before putting out any money out for repairs or otherwise, if you haven't already, I recommend to try and find someone who will reset the computer for you. Which will reset the laptop back to how it was when you first took it out of the box. The process of resetting it back to brand new state, is very simple and quick AND it will remove all the junk files that caused it to become slow overtime in the first place. If you have children, grandchildren, friends or a neighbor willing, they can easily watch and follow a YouTube "How to" video and make it brand new again. Alternatively, you can try your local high school to see if the computer teacher and students will do it for you.
If you still can't find someone, your local tv repair shop guy will do it for you, they charge just 50-$75 for the reset. Good luck no matter what.
To GeekSquad Rep, in the kindest way possible I'd like to say, you were right in your advice but is better suited for a different demographic group. Seniors on fixed incomes, burdened with a PC that's slow but is only used for things like playing Bingo and online browsing really should not be told it's best to drop $400 on a band new one, especially because their PC is only slow. Besides calling Microsoft to remote in and clean it up for her (which anyone should do for free and help a Senior lady out), refurbished laptops are half the price, come with a warranty and run just as good as new ones, and there's at least 10 more options to try before dropping half a grand just to pay bills and post on Facebook. Just a thought to consider for next time. Best of luck to you as well, I know support is a difficult but thankless job. You Rock!

A:AnswerHi Talia. Thanks for reaching out about this! Programs, pictures and videos will take up the most space. So if you're just deleting documents, that would explain the recurring error. We can definitely help out with this though. To get started, please visit www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a free consultation at your local Best Buy.

A:AnswerHi there. Thanks for reaching out about this! We're pumped that you're liking the TV! I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the remote. There may be a way to reset the remote's functions by holding down a series of buttons but if you purchased this recently, I would recommend connecting with your local Best Buy and we should be able to get you a replacement. This would be the best place to start as it'll be the easiest for you! You can find information about your local store at www.bestbuy.com/storelocator.
A:AnswerHi there. Thanks for your great question. From what it sounds like, the picture you're trying to use as a wallpaper image is too small resolution wise. You are able to make it fit, but this would result in a very blurry image. We'd recommend making an appointment for your local Best Buy so we can see this computer in the store and help you out.
