Q: QuestionI bought the AM09 last year. Just brought it out again, plugged it in, turned it on. NOTHING happened. All the lights came on and I could adjust the temperature but it is not moving or pushing any air thru it. What could be wrong with it?

Q: QuestionIs it a backup or initial heaterI have a small 500 sq ft apt and I wanted to know if this unit will heat it by itself or is it intended as a back-up for another source of heat.

• A:Answer This fan should heat the apartment without issue. I just recommend placing it in a location where all rooms get some airflow from the dyson.

Q: QuestionDoes the Dyson AM09 Fan + Heater need to be maintained in any way, cleaned, any parts regularly need to be replaced such as any type of filters?

• A:Answer Hi Marie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson AM09 is a Fan + Heater, and since it does not have the function of an air purifier, there is no filter in your machine. Q: QuestionHi, Does the heater/cooler AMO9 have the same power as the HPO4? (Of course, without the purifier)

• A:Answer Hello Eric, this is Kelly with Dyson. Both the Dyson AM09 Fan + Heater, and the HP04 Hot + Cool Link will have the option to adjust the temperature in heat mode up to 99 degrees and 10 air flow speeds. The AM09 has a 1500 watt motor, the HP04 1400 watt, so it's not a huge difference between the two in terms of power. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

In heat mode the machine uses 1500 watts of power and in fan mode it's 30 watts. Q: QuestionMy AM09 quits heating after 1 min 15 sec & a code "H2" appears. I have tried to clean the vents with a toothbrush & can air. Nothing works. The remote does not work after the unit is turned on

• A:Answer Exact same issue. The unit is plugged directly into a 15 A 120 V circuit - no other devices on the circuit and no extentsion cord. Works for a little while and then goes into the h2 error mode. The unit is completely cleaned out. Were you ever able to find the source of the problem? Thanks - T.
