The soft roller is meant for hard surfaces such as tile or wood. From the reviews I've read online, they do get dirty and kind of nasty in a fairly quick order. I personally don't believe it's worth the extra 100 dollars to go from the Animal to the Absolute just for that one roller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a soft roller head that came with my V8 that works on my V10. I have pulled it out to do my hardwood floor occasionally, but usually don't bother. It dusts the floor as it vacuums. If it weren't included in the V8 combo I purchased (QVC), it is not something I would purchase separately or pay extra for unless all I had was hardwood. It is useless on carpet, ok on tile.
