There are two filters (HEPA & Carbon). Replacement is based on the status of the filters (not a schedule). The machine displays the remaining life span of each filter type. You can also monitor the status via the Dyson Link app (download from Dyson website). Check the Dyson website - it provides more detail (including visual)

If you were to use your purifier 24 hours a day, the filter would need to be changed after about 6 months. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on usage, I’ve owned mine for maybe two months and so far it’s used 5% of my filters life. It is recommended to change it at least once a year with constant use but you could go up to 2-3 years without changing it if you keep your home clean of pollution. So far I’ve used mine on auto mode so it turns on when a change in pollution is detected inside my home.
