Q: QuestionSo I’m very confused. Does this actually cool a room like an air conditioner? That’s what I’m looking for to use in my vintage 15’ x 8’ travel trailer. Please advise. Thanks!

The major difference between the Dyson HP04 Pure Hot + Cool and the HP06 Cryptomic, is that the latter will not just capture formaldehyde, like the HP04, but it will also destroy it. • A:Answer There are two filters (HEPA & Carbon). Replacement is based on the status of the filters (not a schedule). The machine displays the remaining life span of each filter type. You can also monitor the status via the Dyson Link app (download from Dyson website). Check the Dyson website - it provides more detail (including visual)

• A:Answer Hello Carlos, this is Kelly with Dyson. The HP04 is the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool, while the TP04 is the Dyson Pure Cool. Both purifiers are WiFi enabled and can be connected to the Dyson Link App. The HP04 will produce cooling air flow plus heat, whereas the TP04 does not have the ability to provide heat. • A:Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am happy to let you know the differences between the HP01 Hot + Cool, and the HP04 Hot + Cool Link. Both machines are designed to intelligently purify, heat and cool you. The HP04 model is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, to allow you to connect your purifier to the Dyson Link App on your smart phone device. Within the app you can control the machine, set up a run time schedule, view air quality and also the remaining life on the filter. The HP01 will not be able to connect to the app. The HP04 model also has an LCD display. HP01 will oscillate 180º and the HP04 oscilaltes 350° and also has backward air flow. The 360° sealed HEPA and activated charcoal filters are designed to remove gases and capture 99.97% of microscopic allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including bacteria, mold, odors from cooking, scented candles and car exhausts, which includes VOC's. Q: QuestionI changed both filters in my Dyson hp04 Hot & Cool Air Purifier. How do I set the controls to show all filters have been changed? It shows one filter has been changed, but not the carbon fiber filters. I need to set the controls to know the difference.

• A:Answer Unlike the other answer, I found that the button to press and hold to replace the carbon-fiber filter was the "airflow direction" button, not the timer button. Pressing and holding the sleep button reset the other one. Holding the timer button just set the timer repeatedly for me. Hope this helps someone!

Q: QuestionI don't need heating or cooling. I have two cats. 1 bedroom apartment. Will this trap pet hair? Distance? Living room, adjacent kitchen leading to adjacent hallway leading to bedroom and bathroom. Is one enough? Do you make a more basic unit?

• A:Answer Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. If you do not need a unit that would not produce heat, you may wish to look at our more basic Pure Cool units, which will still offer the same level of purification, but without heat. With regard to cooling, our units offer 10 airflow speed levels, but you wouldn't have the option to select a target temperature, as the units operate as fans, rather than like an AC unit that uses Freon to chill the air. For your size home, the Dyson Pure Cool tower purifier would likely provide enough coverage for your purification needs. It will help to trap pet dander, but it won't trap pet hair. • A:Answer No, it’s way too much space for this unit as a primary heat source. But it really all depends on where you live, what the area you’re trying to heat is like (windows, doors, thermal mass of building, desired temperature rise). According to the specs the maximum amp draw is 12.5 (which means that it uses 120v/1,500 watts. Most residential receptacles are 15 or 20 amp circuits). So depending on the cost of your electricity, you’d need to run it 24/7 if heating your space is even possible). The average cost of electricity is 0.13/KWh. You’d be better off buying a dedicated heater such as a portable electric baseboard heater 1500 watts as well. Same Amps. And much more purpose suited. You’re getting a highly sophisticated air purifier, monitor, and fan with the Dyson. And it sounds like you need something more tailored toward heating, specifically.

• A:Answer Hi Char, this is Kelly with Dyson. The HP04 Pure Hot + Cool is a bladeless fan, so there are no blades should your child place their hand through the loop.
