Unlike the other answer, I found that the button to press and hold to replace the carbon-fiber filter was the "airflow direction" button, not the timer button. Pressing and holding the sleep button reset the other one. Holding the timer button just set the timer repeatedly for me. Hope this helps someone!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its night mode for 5 seconds for hepa filter and directional for the carbon filter. The instructions that come with the filters show this as step 7 but one assumes they are the same directions on both pages each in a different language, but they aren't. One page for each filter.

If you've replaced the HEPA filter, you will press and hold the Night-mode button on your remote control for five seconds. If you have replaced the carbon filter, you can press and hold the Sleep timer button for five seconds. If both filters were replaced together, press and hold each of the two buttons separately, one after the other. You will see the LCD screen count down from 5 for each filter. Once you see the confirmation screen, your purifying fan heater will be ready to use again. If you run in to any issues, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected], and we will be in touch. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
