I have the same issue. After doing some googling, it looks like others do too - get forced to do a clean cycle and then get locked into a 60 minute countdown timer that locks up every 10 seconds. My one hour clean has thus far taken over 14 hours and counting because I must hit the power button on and off every time the countdown hits a multiple of 10 in order to keep it progressing. The infuriating part is that I don't think this even does anything - you are basically just soaking the evaporator cartridge in water and citric acid for an hour. I can't see any mechanical agitator, ultrasonic vibrator or other benefit to the process from having to carefully put the thing inside the machine for the one hour soak. It's not self cleaning so much as it just forces the owner to clean it while torturing them with a broken timer. I've tried unplugging the device for a while to see if it forgets, and it just starts the 60 minute timer over. Users on other forums reported that if you bug Dyson, you can eventually get your faulty device replaced...after you send yours back, wait weeks without anything to use, and then someday a new one will supposedly appear with a new warranty. Infuriating given that this is probably the most expensive thing you can buy in its class. For anyone else similarly afflicted, here's there phone numbers: US: 866-693-9766 | UK: 0800-298-0298 | CA: 1-877-397-6622 | AU: 1800 239 766 | NZ: 0800 397 667 You will need your serial number from the bottom of the device. Be prepared for a horrific wait time on the phone (It took 30 minutes for a rep to answer who then transferred me to another hold queue where I waited for 15 minutes before someone picked up the phone and then hung up without ever speaking. Guess I get to call back? Fun times.) If this thing wasn't so expensive I would throw it in a dumpster and get something else For those who recently bought one, the first cleaning cycle doesn't hit you until a couple months into ownership. So, save your packaging and hope for the best.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this same problem so I called Dyson and was able to troubleshoot with them. What worked for me was to check that the six connectors on the inside of the pump assembly were dry, then remove the screen from the very bottom of the pump, this will allow the internal plunger to release (its a plastic piece with a plastic radio-antenna-like poker going up into the pump) rinse both the filter screen and the plunger, reassemble and it works! I had the same problem again today and I had to take out, rinse, and reassemble those pieces twice to get things moving. Once everything is working properly you will see a slow drip inside the black plastic cage of the humidifier that circulates back into the water tank; that’s how you know it’s cycling properly. Hope this helps someone else out there!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it has been dry for awhile, the pump may be stuck or needs to be primed. If the pump is running, you can hear a low humming sound and you’ll see water dripping in a steady stream inside where you removed the orange covered filter. The timer stops if the pump isn’t doing anything. Use a small bowl or pitcher to scoop out a couple cups of the citric acid water you have in the water container. Pour it slowly (1/4 cup at a time) through the top where the orange filter goes and restart the clean cycle if your timer is stopped. Use a paper towel to remove any scud. You may have to do all this a few times if your pump is really stuck. Took me 2 minutes and I heard the pump start and water flowing, and the timer runs continuously.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So what i did is ,lets start here when the orange filter with your reachin feel the rubber ejetor on right side.while it is in cleaning mode with the acid powder and fiter water should eject from this port while timing down.if not what i did un plug ,remove water and filter assembly. Remove the clip in top pump piece.flip it over remove cover screen with tiny screw driver.once removed you will see 4 tiny screws do not remove but use the tintest scew and turn the white thing you see there clockwise and lossen up the pump on mine anyway was gummed up and stuck.reassemble ,wash under tap,put back together, time again water shoud come out the rubber discharge port on the right side the touched earlier.the timer will time down now and the wayer coming out of the port drains back to tank. Alit of info but try.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The same issue with my very expensive Dyson humidifier... It asked for a deep cycle clean, but it took almost 24 hours to complete, getting stuck every 10 seconds. And after the cycle is done, it asks you to do it again, and the whole machine is in inactive status, doesn't and won't do anything. I called Dyson, and you are right with the wait time, although when someone finally answered, they asked some basic questions, and did some basic troubleshooting, they asked me to drop the unit off at a nearest UPS store since I threw away my original packaging (who would have thought you would need it)....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am having the same issue with this machine. I am waiting every 10 sec to turn the device off and turn it on. At this point I am not sure if it is even cleaning anything. I am going to return it. I haven't found any solution anywhere. I advice everyone with this issue to return your device asap. If this expensive and well known company having such a blunder issue is not acceptable. If it cannot even perform a basic function of cleaning; How can I trust the humidifier and water cleaning. I was so excited and hopeful about this device but this might be my last Dyson.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine will not begin the clean cycle at all. I called Dyson and they are sending me a new top the the humidifier but its that that, its a defective unit and needs to be replaced. Ironically they replaced this model last year when after it was cleaned it failed to turn back on....Dyson Pure Humidify+Cool Cryptomic™ PH02. Today my relced model Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde™ PH04 on Nov 10, 2022 after I did the prompted deep clean cycle and to the letter from dysons web site movie, it wont start the count down at all! Top was dry but they want to send me a new top to the tank, its all absurd. The button will also be unresponsive if the water pump is faulty. I believe the pump is indeed faulty because the water never needs to be replaced since I got this model. is Dyson needs to replace this with a new one once again! Unbelievable!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What's wrong? Honestly, Dyson has failed at least with regard to the PH-03 and related humidifiers/purifiers. Specifically, the pump assemblies are faulty, and the company will not own up to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This has happened twice to us. Dyson was very helpful, but we had to send back to Dyson for replacement on both occasions. Fine if still under warranty but after that???? Works great when it works but no longer expect to last more than a year. For $999 plus another $150 for extended 3 year warranty. It's just not worth it. I don't think we will purchase another PH04 in the future.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. After 10s the timer stopped. My solution: Factory reset. Press the on/off button on the remote control and on the device at the same time. Then you will see a countdown of 10s. After that the cleaning has started. At the end I had to connect my device to the wifi again. Is unfortunately not satisfactory but has worked for me.
