It’s not an air conditioner(does not have a condenser like a fridge or a window unit); it behaves more like a fan. However the the humidifier may make the the room feel cooler than other rooms due to the added moisture and air circulation it provides.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Sally, this is Kelly with Dyson. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not an air conditioner. But I find a well humidified room with a breeze to feel colder than a dry, stale room. The fan is VERY strong and the humidifier works very well. But if you have a south facing room on a day above 70 degrees, this won’t do much.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As someone who lives in a hot state, it can definitely help cool down a room. It can push a lot of air. It does not function the same as an air conditioner though, as the water is used for humidifying and not cooling. They do kind of work in tandem though. This will not replace an air conditioner, but it will enhance a cool/cooled room quite well.
