Well, our V15 arrived just an hour ago and I tested it on the carpeted stairs.......and it works PERFECTLY!!! I used the carpet head with and without the stick and I prefer not using the stick. Not sure why Busnut (see the reply) said that the V15 does not work so well on carpet. When I turned the unit on the head 'sucked down' on the carpet and did it's job. I am a satisfied buyer!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, this is Tia from Dyson! You may attach the floor tool directly to the main body of the Dyson V15 Detect, when preferred. As well, the V15 Detect will include a crevice tool, stiff bristle brush, and a two-in-1 combination tool, for easy stair cleaning. Thanks for your interest in Dyson technology! Best wishes, Tia Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree the vac works very well on carpet. In fact if I turn the power up to medium it almost is too strong. I wonder what it would do on the Boost setting? Pull the rug up off the floor? : D
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We just used our V15 for the first time on carpet and I don't have a thick carpet. It is a normal grade carpet that you'd see in most homes. Ended up on the phone with Dyson bc the torque head for the carpet kept stopping the spinning brush. We followed all troubleshooting advice, checked everything...i only used it for about 7 min and it will not roll on the carpet. They are sending a new head out but I really don't think it will fix the problem. All adjustments were made in the settings as well for it to work best on carpet and mode was auto. My husband looked at it when turned on and the suction is so strong that it just sucked it right down to the carpet blocking the bar from spinning. We'll see if the replacement works but I'm not impressed at this point with carpet use. I agree with the other guy...try before you buy if you can. I'll likely return mine if the new head doesn't work right.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find the carpet tool bogs down on anything but really low carpet like commercial type. If you can try out the vacuum before buying it, that would be your best bet. It also reduces battery life considerably if you use anything but the fluffy roller. Aside from that, I think this vacuum shines at hard floors than it does for carpets.
