We have a V6 and V8. Both have the same issue as described. And both lasted about the same number of years, approx 2.5-3 years. What is interesting is that the Dyson rep, Krystal, says the battery should last the life of the vacuum, yet there seems to be a consistent problem. Either the vacuum is designed for only 3 years of life, or the batteries are defective? I have bought 2 Dyson, both exhibit the same issue. Yet, Dyson will say it is out of warranty, sorry. Buy an extremely overpriced battery and replace, out of your pocket, a component they say should last the life of the vac. If Dyson vacs only last 3 years, then their price model is far too high. We have stopped looking at Dyson due to this. Buying $600-800 vacuums every 3 years is too much. You are spending roughly $20/month to vacuum your house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have 6 sweepers between the v6 and v11 and your lucky to get one full year before its useless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Dyson rep told me it's easily good for several years, likely longer. You can replace the battery (not sure if you have to send it in or if it is user changeable... It is internal).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My epierence is 25-30 min depends on suction setting as it is adjustable. The lower setting is great for rugs and lasts longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson V7 Motorhead. Although we are unable to provide an exact lifespan for our batteries, we offer a 2-year warranty on our new handheld machines when purchased from an authorized retailer. Given the machine is being used in accordance with your user guide, the battery should last the life of the machine. The battery can be replaced as it is simply held in place by a set of screws. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service
