I had the same issue. After mounting the docking station I realized that the charger could not reached the nearest electrical outlet by ~2 inches. I used an old power strip to extend it. I wish the power cord was about a foot or two longer than it is.

I plan to call my electrician To install a new outlet inside my closet which is where I plan to mount my Dyson docking station. It’ll be so cool to charge while it docs!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to hear that you've found the cord to be too short to reach your outlet whilst mounted on the dock. Our cordless units do some with a diagram, showing the proper dimensions to use, to mount the dock so it will reach the outlet. We do not recommend using a power strip or extension cord to charge your cordless machine, as that can cause over-current issues. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
