I am in Texas also and my unit is mounted near the garage door in the garage. I haven’t had any issues with summer or winter temperature

You can store your machine in a garage, but we would recommend that the unit is brought to room temperature before you use it. If you were to see an amber colored light at the base of the handle, this would alert you to the machine being either too hot, or too cold to use. To prolong life of the battery, we do recommend storing your machine indoors to maintain a more constant room temperature. I hope this was helpful. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
