The V8 absolute and V8 animal have the same power. The V8 Absolute has more accessories and is at the same level for pet hair than the Animal version The V8 absolute is more complete, the V8 animal can be sufficient if you only need it for pet hair
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The V8 Absolute is what you want without a doubt. Not only does the V8 Absolute come with the hardwood (or non carpeted) floor attachment that works absolutely phenomenal, but it also comes with another attachment for upholstery and other services specifically made for animal fur. It lasts, on average, 20 minutes longer on full battery charge than the V8 Animal and you would end up paying as much for the V8 Absolute anyways by the time you were done ordering attachments for it. Exact reason I bought the Absolute over the Animal and would not even think about returning it as its the best vacuum I have ever used!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do have 2 small dogs that don't shed so when I purchased this model, it was not necessarily for the animal hair aspect. I do also have the cordless V6 model as well as a Dyson handheld. I will tell you that the new V8 model I purchased is much quieter than the others and I do have a lot of hardwood floors in my house for the new soft attachment head. It also seems to noticeably last longer before needing a charge. In fact, I feel it works as well as my corded Dyson and much easier and lighter to take very quickly out of the closet. I would strongly suggest the purchase of getting the softer head that comes with the animal version for the hardwood. I think the vacuum does an outstanding job.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only difference I saw when comparing the two models was the V8 comes with the soft roller brush for bare floors and the V8 Animal does not. If you have a lot of bare floors to clean, i'd go with the V8 even though it's a little more expensive. It does a phenomenal job picking up fine hair/dust from hardwood floors. I don't currently have pets now but have had both dogs and cats and know how much their hair can get everywhere!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the V8 animal does not have a soft floor attachment for wood..not sure how it wood be in the long run over and over on hard wood...???
