- Answer It does not, I know cause I bought it not knowing and when I got home to plug it into my cable company (spectrum) router it didn't have any cables. Then I read the box and it said "What you'll need... Eero Router etc." haha sooo yeah learned my lesson hope it helps.

- Answer You will want to stay with another Eero device to connect to your existing Eero Pro 6 system. You can add any of them (Eero Pro 6 Router, Eero 6 Router, or Eero 6 Extender) to your existing network, it just depends how you want to connect them. Heck, you can even add one of the older Eero units if you find them cheap enough. You will obviously need a power drop at the new location (even if it is outside), and you could also add an Ethernet drop at that same location (even outside). If you do choose to run power and Ethernet outside, make sure they are protected from weather and the outdoor elements. Lightning Arrestors and proper grounding are required by law when connecting outdoor antennas, so make sure you follow local ordinances if you go that route. An easier option is to install a device inside your house next to a window or exterior wall and *some* coverage will extend outside. You will have to play with a few locations to see what gives you the coverage that you need. If you go with a wireless backhaul (not recommended), make sure the new unit is placed close enough to the existing wireless signal as you will need a strong signal between the Eero 6 units in order to provide adequate speeds to the outdoor areas. Also realize that whenever you do a wireless backhaul, that adds one wireless hop and effectively cuts the available bandwidth in half. To further compound that, if you connect one of the new units wirelessly to another unit that is also connected wirelessly, you will effectively have 25% of the bandwidth and speed (i.e. 50% drop of an already 50% drop equals 25%).

- Answer Any time you do a wireless hop (mesh network), you effectively cut your bandwidth and speedo in half, which is why they show 500Mbps throughput. Your main station will always be full speed as that device has to be hardwired (to itself/inside of itself). Although the Eero 6 Router is listed as 900Mbps, it is actually 574Mbps on 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n, and 1201Mbps on 5GHz with 802.11ax connections. With 802.11ac connections on 5GHz, you drop to 867Mbps. The Eero Pro 6 adds a third radio that is capable of 2402Mbps, but only for 802.11ax clients. Those speeds are taken right from the Eero website. Again, these are only achievable if you have a wired backhaul to your unit, and if any of these units are connected with a wireless backhaul (mesh), you can cut any and all of those speeds in half. Personally I prefer to connect all of my Eero 6 devices via Ethernet cabling so that I have full wireless speeds everywhere.

- Answer This eero (the 6 Extender) does require another eero hardwired into the internet (via an ethernet cable) in order to work. The hardwired eero will be the head/gateway eero and create a wifi network. This eero (The 6 extender) can wireless connect to the gateway eero and broadcast the same wifi network.

- Answer No, you do not need to plug the WiFi extender into your router. This is the WiFi version. I plugged my extender 150 feet away from my router into an outlet for additional coverage for my TV in the Lanai and Family room. Now I have whole home coverage, great upgrade from previous router.

- Answer Yes, you can use this eero with those eero. All eero are intentionally designed so they all models of eero work with all other models of eero. Just plug this eero in, go to eero app->Home Page, click the blue Plus button in the upper right corner, select Add or replace eero devices and then Add eero device.

- Answer Hi Extender! Thank you for your question.All eeros are compatible with each other so the eero 6 extender will work with your existing system. You’ll need to open the eero app, tap the blue plus icon on the top right, then select “add an indoor eero” to get the eero 6 extender on your network. Be advided that this eero is not waterproof or water resistant and is not ideal for using outside. For this reason, we strongly recommend keeping this device inside. That said, by placing an eero closer to outdoor areas, you can get great coverage across your outdoor space. If you are unable to achieve the desired coverage, we recommend the eero Outdoor 7 instead. I hope this information helps. Have a great day!

- Answer This eero, the 6 Extender, will not work by itself. An eero 6 Extender can only connect and extend an eero wifi network. If you have an eero (like an eero 6) hardwired to that AT&T modem it will, once it is setup, broadcast a wifi network. The eero 6 Extender can extend that wifi.

- Answer This particular model, the eero 6 extender, does not have any ethernet ports, so you cannot use an ethernet cable with it. All other eero models that have ethernet ports (So this will exclude the Beacon and this eero 6 extender) all have a standard RJ-45 ethernet jack. We typically recommend a Cat 5E or a Cat 6 cable.

- Answer No this eero (eero 6 extender) will not by itself. The eero 6 extender can only connect to an eero network, not a different manufacturer's network. You would need a regular eero 6 (or any eero that has an ethernet port on it), that eero 6 can hardwire to the SVG2482AC, create an eero network, and an eero 6 extender can connect to that and extend it.
