QuestionI bought this purifier a year ago, it may even be an older model. I can't hear it at ALL when I turn it on. I haven't had to clean it either. I'm curious if it's even working... Is it? Anyone have the same issue? I didn't get mine from Best Buy though

- Answer If you don't feel air movement when you have it on it probably isn't working! It isn't a rush of air but on high you should feel air movement.

QuestionI read some questions and didn't find what I was looking for. Is the filter the long metal rods that get all black? If so what do you use to remove the black dirt that cakes up on the metal rods?

- Answer Yes the metal rods act as the filter. I partially wet a paper towel and wipe off the black stuff until all rods are cleaned and shiny. Be sure that the rods are dry before installing back. Hope this helps
