Both. It’s geared more for movies, but it certainly has plenty of brightness to be used as regular tv using Natural or Bright Cinema modes.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's just like a big computer monitor, it doesn't care what you play on it . With that being said it has a consumable- the bulb. As long as you realize they have a life span ( and everything does) go on with your bad self and watch tv on it . Personally I dont think i would just leave it on 24 hours a day to keep my pets entertained.
