Q: QuestionHi, i am new to projector world and i am really confused to choose between 2100 and 880 model. Can you please help me to choose the best one fo home theatre

• A:Answer Just compare both model, look at the weakness and strength, and what you are looking for that fits your need and budget. Example if your want best image you have to go with 4K, if you don't care about that then 1080P will do just fine. The difference between the two that you mentioned is not a lot. The 2100 has 2500 lumens and a contrast ration of 35000:1 compare to the 880 which is 3300 lumens and a 15000:1. That being said with the 2100 you'll get slightly better image but the 880 is brighter. Also note that the 2100 is slightly bigger and heavier that the 880 and possibly a little more expensive and I believe is also a discontinued projector. So in my opinion I'll go with the 880 which may be cheaper and is a newer model, check my review and photos on the BestBuy website . Hope this help.

Q: Question1) Can you watch Netflix, Hulu etc on this and what device do you need to allow this? 2) Can you hook up external speakers and what is needed to allow this? Thanks

• A:Answer Hi Dave, The Home Cinema 880 has an HDMI port for input and a 3.5 mm audio output jack. You can connect a streaming device such as a Roku or Apple TV to the HDMI port to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. You can listen to the projector's internal speaker, or connect powered speakers or a stereo system to the audio output jack. Q: QuestionHello- We are looking for a projector that can sit roughly 22 feet away from a 125 inch screen. I noticed one review mentioned there are no zooming capabilities which is the issue with our current projector. Will this zoom to adjust to our screen? Thanks

• A:Answer Hi michelle13, Sorry, the Home Cinema 880 will not fit your needs. It has zoom capabilities, but not within the range you specified. It will project a 125" diagonal image if it is placed from 11 to 14.9 feet from the screen. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

Q: QuestionIs this a pretty good projector to play outside? Or do you have any recommendations for an outdoor projector? It won’t be left outside, just used occasionally during the summer.

Q: QuestionWhat is the vertical lens offset? In other words, what is the distance between the lens centerline and bottom of image (above or below)?

• A:Answer Hi Mohamad, It depends on the distance of the projector to the screen. If the projector is 72" (6') from the screen the bottom of the displayed image will be 4.19" from the centerline (CL) of the lens, and the top of the image will be 33.53" above the CL of the lens. If the projector is 240" (20') from the screen the bottom of the image will be 14" below CL and the top of the image will be 98" above CL. The aspect ration is 16:9 for these measurements. Q: QuestionI'm planning on using this outdoors (bringing inside when not in use) for showing on a 20ft screen to about 30 people. How capable is the build-in speaker, or should I plan on purchasing an external speaker?

• A:Answer I’ve tried the internal speaker outside and it’s not the greatest.. I highly recommend pairing it with an external speaker. I use the JBL charge 4 and it sounds amazing! The reason I use the charge 4 over the charge 5 is because the 4 has the aux input where the 5 doesn’t. I connect the 4 using the aux chord as the 880 doesn’t have Bluetooth. Hope this helps

Q: QuestionWhat is the shortest distance I can place this at? I’m hoping to project on to a standard vintage (my grandparents) projection screen and the projector will be at around three feet away. What would the size of the picture be at that distance?

• A:Answer Hi tub, The Home Cinema 880 does not have built-in tripod mount capabilities. It does have three mount points used for ceiling mounts like the Epson Universal projector mount. • A:Answer Hi, The Home Cinema 880's native aspect ratio is 16:9 at 1920 x 1080 dpi. If your source sends the same resolution to the projector the image will fill the entire projected display. Q: QuestionProblem: Projector either won't see or won't play files edited on a mac computer from flashdrive or USB SD card reader. If I simply transfer an UNEDITED image from an SD card to a flash drive through the mac it seems fine. (Ones edited on PC do work)

• A:Answer Hi Joey, The Home Cinema 880 will project a square, non-trapazoidal image on a flat surface. The projector has both automatic and manual adjustments to square up an image if the projection surface is not flat or the projector is not square with the screen or wall your are using.
